"In a Holidaze"

When twenty-six year-old Maelyn Jones looks to the
stars, and secretly asks the Universe to show her the road
to happiness, she receives an astounding response
from up above.

It all starts on the way home from what looks to be the
final, holiday getaway at the picturesque Utah cabin
where she and her extended family celebrate every year.
The eclectic group includes her divorced parents, and an
entourage of former college buddies with their families,
who gather annually to drink, and be merry. Commemorating
tried-and-true traditions, and generally getting on each other's
nerves is fondly anticipated. They wouldn't have it any other way.

But there's a different vibe to the party atmosphere this year.
The beloved cabin is in disrepair, and the owners are looking
to sell the property. Just another monumental disappointment
in Maelyn's unfilled life. Along with no place of her own to live,
and a dead-end job, she finds it impossible to deny romantic
feelings for a man who has been a childhood friend forever.

When a fiery crash occurs on the return trip home, Maelyn wakes
up on a plane, heading to Utah, and only she remembers the past,
fretful, few days. Her family is concerned and puzzled, since they
are clueless as to the nonsense she is recalling. For Maelyn, it's
the beginning of  a series of disasters about to happen
over and over, until she finds the peace and contentment that's
been hers all along for the taking.

This playful, feel-good romance, ushers in the upcoming season
with a story reminiscent of the movie "Groundhog Day". Family
and friends learn that the challenge of growing up, evolving, and
changing priorities, doesn't necessarily have to be painful, as long
as honesty and love are part of the equation. Despite the odds,
this charming novel may have  you believing that happily-ever-after
is just a wish away.

Noel Street

Noel Street by Richard Paul Evans

It's 1975, and single mother, Elle Sheen, struggles
to survive, waiting tables at a local diner in Mistletoe, Utah.

How she ended up calling this tiny community home,
is another story for another time. Maybe it was divine
intervention, or maybe just luck. In any case, it's here where
she found kind souls willing to give her, and her son, Dylan,
a chance to start over when life seemed dire and impossible.

Now six years later, Elle still barely gets by financially,
worries constantly that her bi-racial son can endure the
slurs and prejudice he will certainly face in his lifetime,
and dreams of a better tomorrow.

When Elle meets William, a troubled Vietnam War veteran,
her attraction to him goes far beyond the physical. In William
she finds a kindred spirit, maybe because the father of her child
also served in the War, or perhaps it's his ability to find joy in
the smallest things in life.

But soon Elle learns that the man she is falling in love with,
harbors deep secrets in his soul that could destroy any
chance they have for the future.

Celebrate the last days of the season with this short, feel-good
story about the power of forgiveness from the author known as
"The King of Christmas Fiction".

The Perfect Love Song

The Perfect Love Song by Patti Callahan Henry

The vagabond life for brothers, Jimmy and Jack
Sullivan, is growing harder every day, now that
they are both deeply in love.

Along with their band, The Unknown Souls, the
talented musicians travel from one nondescript
town to the next, counting the days until they
are in the arms of  the women that make them
want to settle down.

But things take a dramatic turn when Jimmy
and his love, Charlotte, write a simple love
song on a back porch, that turns out to be
an immediate hit when the band sings the tune at
a local concert the next evening.

Suddenly, Jimmy finds himself in the spotlight,
without Charlotte by his side, as a manger known
for creating stars, hears the song, and decides charismatic
Jimmy has the makings of a rising entertainer.
The perfect love song turns into a Christmas wonder
that newfound fans can't seem to stop singing. In just
a few days, Jimmy is on his way to fame and fortune after
years of struggles and disappointments.

But acclaim comes at a price, as Jimmy finds out
all too soon. As the demands on his life become
overwhelming, he scrambles to find a way to make
it to his brother's wedding in Ireland, realizing
that the glitter of glory may stop him from being
with the people he loves at a memorable moment
in time.

Maybe the "The Luck of the Irish", and some very
special  people he meets along the way, will lead
Jimmy back to where he belongs.

Take a relaxing break during another busy, holiday season
to read this light, Christmas novella about hope and
forgiveness, filled with Irish lore, and a touch of magic.

The Mistletoe Promise

The Mistletoe Promise by Richard Paul Evans

Elise Dutton dreads the upcoming holiday season. When your husband cheats on you with your best friend, it's difficult to find joy and contentment even at the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas is just another day, a time to reflect on the past year; a time to reflect on past sins, a time for forgiveness. Unfortunately, Elise can never forgive herself.

Sitting alone in the mall  food court, as she is every day at lunch, a stranger approaches her with an intriguing proposition. She's noticed him before with his disarmingly good looks, but now he is actually sitting at her table introducing himself as Nicholas Derr, a partner in a prestigious law firm. Much to her surprise, Elise agrees to his unorthodox contract.....she has nothing to lose anymore.

For eight weeks they will pretend to be a couple and abide by the rules of The Mistletoe Promise. No drama or probing into deep personal issues, just an all expenses paid game of pretend for two lonely people. The contract expires on Christmas Eve and they'll go their separate ways.

As the charade continues, Elise finds her heart beginning to melt for a man she barely knows. She realizes the fairy tale will end when he learns of her secret and the devastating sorrow she carries with her each day. Perhaps Nicholas carries monumental secrets of his own.....

Written by the master of spiritual inspiration, Richard Paul Evans once again creates a short book that will fill your heart with hope and joy at this time of year. Healing begins with forgiveness, but we first must learn to forgive ourselves.

Wishing my readers Happy Holidays wherever you may be.....looking forward to a promising 2015!

Forever Christmas

Forever Christmas by Robert Tate Miller

"Only those who forgive earn the right to be forgiven".

Beth Farmer waits patiently for her husband to arrive so they can pick out the perfect Christmas tree. As the minutes tick by, she knows he won't come. He will disappoint her once again, as he has so many times before.

It's crunch time for Andrew Farmer, a successful literary agent who hesitates to tell his loving wife that he's leaving for Chicago to seal a coveted deal with a new author. He won't meet her to choose that perfect tree Beth dreams of; she'll be disappointed like so many times before.

Beth watches her husband rise the corporate ladder with mixed emotions. Their move from River Falls, Pennsylvania to New York City is difficult, but love involves sacrifice. However, when she suspects Andrew's infidelity, her aching heart can take no more. As she flees into the snowy streets of Manhattan on Christmas Eve, a tragic accident occurs; an accident that Andrew witnesses in horror.

Much to his disbelief, Andrew is given the opportunity to turn back time by an angel named Lionel. Second chances are rare. He has three days to relive with Beth, even though he knows her fate cannot be changed. Seventy-two hours are all he has to make her realize that she is his world, his life.

This is a short, heartbreaking yet warm story reminiscent of classic Hollywood movies like It's a Wonderful Life. Hope, forgiveness and prayer are central themes throughout the book. Perfect for those of you looking for the magic in the holiday season.

Perfect for those of you who believe in angels.
